Located within one of Scaria’smost characteristic courts, today the house can be visited by booking. Inside is the splendid late XVII century reception hall where, in the central part, the ancient enriched fireplace with the family crest, two crossed heads of garlic, is perfectly preserved.
On the wall there is an interesting inscription,“1588”. Even though the writing is now completely illegible it reminds us that at that timeDomenico Allio was given the noble title and that after this the entire family changed its surname from “Allio” to “De Aglio” (meaning “of garlic”)
It is assumed that both the room and the crest with the stuccos of the vault date back to that period.
